FEAST OF THE HOLY TRINITY —A— We Catholics are unique among our other Christian brothers and sisters in many ways. One of our unique characteristics is that we always begin our prayers and liturgical celebrations with the sign of the cross, which we do in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. In other words, we always invoke the presence of the Triune God or the Holy Trinity. As a matter of fact, we Catholics celebrate the Feast of the Trinity on the Sunday following the Pentecost. Indeed, our life is closely connected to the mystery of the Trinity and so we need to realize that the last thing the priest does at our gravesite is to bless us with the sign of the cross. If in case you have the intention to fully unveil the truth about the Trinity and discover why there is One God in Three Divine Persons, then I should say “DON’T”. Even the greatest Theologians failed to do so. Our human brain is limited to unveil the mystery behind it. However, while our brain is too small, our human heart is big enough to embrace it. Personally it is enough to know that God created us and loves us as our Father. He is also the Son who came into the world to share his life with us. And He is also the Holy Spirit who gives us new life as children of God and causes the Trinity to dwell in our hearts.
FIESTA DE LA SANTÍSIMA TRINIDAD —A— Nosotros, los católicos, somos únicos entre nuestros otros hermanos y hermanas cristianos en muchos sentidos. Una de nuestras características únicas es que siempre comenzamos nuestras oraciones y celebraciones litúrgicas con la señal de la cruz, que hacemos en el nombre del Padre y del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo. En otras palabras, invocamos siempre la presencia del Dios Triuno o de la Santísima Trinidad. De hecho, los católicos celebramos la Fiesta de la Trinidad el domingo siguiente a Pentecostés. De hecho, nuestra vida está estrechamente relacionada con el misterio de la Trinidad, por lo que debemos darnos cuenta de que lo último que hace el sacerdote en nuestra tumba es bendecirnos con la señal de la cruz. Si tiene la intención de revelar completamente la verdad sobre la Trinidad y descubrir por qué hay un Dios en tres personas divinas, entonces debería decir "NO". Personalmente es suficiente saber que Dios nos creó y nos ama como nuestro Padre. Él es también el Hijo que vino al mundo para compartir su vida con nosotros. Y Él es también el Espíritu Santo que nos da vida nueva como hijos de Dios y hace que la Trinidad habite en nuestros corazones.
