EASTER SUNDAY —A— The Lord is risen, halleluiah! My dear brothers and sisters Easter is the highest and the most important celebration in the life of the Church because it is the resurrection of the Lord. The women found the tomb empty and the body of the Lord was not there proving that he conquered death. Easter carries in itself a number of significant theological truths in our life both as individuals and as a Church. His resurrection has shown that God is faithful to His promise. Jesus’ death and resurrection has won for us, our salvation. The resurrection of the Lord opens the gates of heaven to those who are willing to embrace his Paschal Mystery. This important feast invites us to turn away from hopelessness and self-absorption. Remove all forms of anger, bitterness and resentment from our hearts and find more room for the Risen Lord. We are men and women of resurrection. We are so blessed that we have that identity. Let us live by our name, by being willing to join Jesus in his suffering even to embrace his cross and make it ours, until we join him in his resurrection. HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!
DOMINGO DE PASCUA —A— ¡El Señor ha resucitado, aleluya! Mis queridos hermanos y hermanas, la Pascua es la celebración más alta e importante en la vida de la Iglesia porque es la resurrección del Señor. Las mujeres encontraron el sepulcro vacío y el cuerpo del Señor no estaba allí demostrando que venció a la muerte. La Pascua lleva en sí misma una serie de verdades teológicas significativas en nuestra vida tanto como individuos como como Iglesia. Su resurrección ha demostrado que Dios es fiel a Su promesa. La muerte y resurrección de Jesús ha ganado para nosotros nuestra salvación. La resurrección del Señor abre las puertas del cielo a los que están dispuestos a abrazar su Misterio Pascual. Esta importante fiesta nos invita a alejarnos de la desesperanza y el ensimismamiento. Elimina toda forma de ira, amargura y resentimiento de nuestros corazones y encuentra más espacio para el Señor Resucitado. Somos hombres y mujeres de resurrección. Somos muy bendecidos de tener esa identidad. Vivamos por nuestro nombre estando dispuestos a unirnos a Jesús en su sufrimiento hasta abrazar su cruz y hacerla nuestra hasta unirnos a él en su resurrección. ¡FELIZ PASCUA A TODOS!
