EASTER SUNDAY THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD —C—
This is the day that the Lord has made let us be glad and rejoice in it! Happy Easter to all of you! The long wait is over and the time we spent in prayer and penance has finally paid off. Jesus is alive and he has risen! This important event is the most significant proof of what he has been telling the people during his ministry which many Jews did not believe. His numerous miracles which were witnessed by a great number of people seemed to be not enough for them to understand. It is sad that many people then and now are not quick to believe. In fact, the women who went to the tomb told the apostles what they discovered and they too were in doubt. However, it was only when Peter himself discovered the empty tomb that he slowly realized about the resurrection.
How many times have we doubted God’s love for us? But this wonderful event when Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead has given us an assurance that even if life can get too cruel there will always be hope in the end. Hence, embracing Jesus’ paschal mystery is a sure guarantee of our own resurrection. HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!
The seed of stewardship continues to bear fruits in our community as seen in the great number of people who are involved in different ministries for which I am very happy and great full. This week I wish to recognize the stewardship of MR. ED PEREZ who has been part of the English Choir for many years now. Ed shares his talent of singing to praise the Lord in the 10 a.m. Mass on Sundays and also in the Tagalog Mass every last Sunday of the month. Thank you for your stewardship and May the Risen Lord love you dearly!
DOMINGO DE PASCUA LA RESURRECCIÓN DEL SEÑOR —C—
¡Este es el día que hizo el Señor, alegrémonos y alegrémonos en él! ¡Feliz Pascua a todos! La larga espera ha terminado y el tiempo que pasamos en oración y penitencia finalmente ha dado sus frutos. ¡Jesús está vivo y ha resucitado! Este importante evento es la prueba más significativa de lo que ha venido diciendo a la gente durante su ministerio y que muchos judíos no creían. Sus numerosos milagros que fueron presenciados por un gran número de personas parecían no ser suficientes para que ellos entendieran. Es triste que muchas personas, entonces y ahora, no se apresuren a creer. De hecho, las mujeres que fueron a la tumba les dijeron a los apóstoles lo que descubrieron y ellas también dudaron. Sin embargo, fue solo cuando el propio Pedro descubrió la tumba vacía que poco a poco se dio cuenta de la resurrección.
¿Cuántas veces hemos dudado del amor de Dios por nosotros? Pero este maravilloso evento cuando Jesús murió en la cruz y resucitó de entre los muertos nos ha dado la seguridad de que incluso si la vida puede volverse demasiado cruel, siempre habrá esperanza al final. Por eso, abrazar el misterio pascual de Jesús es garantía segura de nuestra propia resurrección. ¡FELICES PASCUAS PARA TODOS!
La semilla de la corresponsabilidad sigue dando frutos en nuestra comunidad como se ve en la gran cantidad de personas que están involucradas en diferentes ministerios por lo cual me siento muy feliz y muy lleno. Esta semana deseo reconocer la administración del SR. ED PEREZ quien forma parte del English Choir desde hace muchos años. Ed comparte su talento de cantar para alabar al Señor en la misa de las 10 a. m. los domingos y también en la misa en tagalo cada último domingo del mes. ¡Gracias por su administración y que el Señor Resucitado los ame mucho!
